Chief Minister Usman Buzdar of Punjab screened positive for the novel coronavirus, said his spokesman.
At CM Home, he is self-isolated and has suspended all his job engagements. In the past week, he has chaired several sessions.
Many lawmakers have been diagnosed with the virus, which has taken over 9,000 lives in Pakistan, such as PTI’s Asad Umar and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, PPP’s Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Saeed Ghani, and Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah.
Pakistan is currently facing a second coronavirus wave and has so far registered 458,968 cases.
