Microsoft has now announced the market launch of its Surface Laptop Studio for Germany. The notebook with swivel display costs in this country from 1,700 euros.

Almost half a year after the presentation of the Surface Laptop Studio, Microsoft is bringing its laptop with a flexible swivel display to Germany. It is now available for pre-order, but it will only be delivered in three weeks — for orders until February 21, the manufacturer puts a Surface Slim Pen 2 on top for free.
After six years and three generations of the Surface Book, which was sold in the period without significant changes, Microsoft had announced in September 2021 a completely redesigned successor. In contrast to the Surface Book, the display of the Surface Laptop Studio is firmly connected to the case – so that it can still be used as flexibly as its predecessor, the laptop has a sophisticated hinge. This allows the device to be set in different modes.
In classic laptop mode, the device can be operated like a conventional notebook with a full keyboard and a new haptic touchpad. For the so-called stage mode, the display is pulled forward to use it as a touch interface or to watch videos, play or present content. With the new hinge, the display can also be placed almost flat on the keyboard in studio mode: In this position, you can easily draw, write or sketch on the screen using the Surface Slim Pen 2.
Surface Laptop Studio comes in 5 configurations
Microsoft offers the Surface Laptop Studio in a total of five configurations. All of them use the 14.4-inch display in 3:2 format with 120 Hertz and a resolution of can choose between two variants with Intel’s Core i5-11300H without dedicated graphics card and three variants with Intel Core i7-11370H. The latter are equipped with Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 3050Ti laptop GPU. Enterprise customers can also choose an Nvidia RTX-A2000 laptop GPU. Furthermore, other options such as Windows 11 Pro or Windows 10 Pro are available for the operating system; Windows 11 Home is used by default.
